About the Competition:

The Lord-Lieutenant and the High Sheriff of Cumbria, with support from, Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council, Carlisle Cathedral, the University of Cumbria, and the Flag Institute invites individuals, schools, community groups, and organisations to create a design that reflects the pride, heritage, and identity of Cumbria.

Your design should:
Express pride in our local community
Raise recognition and awareness of Cumbria nationwide
Celebrate the heritage and culture of our region
Complement, not replace, the existing historic county flags
